Through the KONSCIO Farming Project and the Lumbriko venture, this vision becomes tangible. One aims at the mutual enrichment of biodiversity and food production; the other makes sustainable living simple and accessible. Together, they show how inner growth and outer sustainability are deeply connected.
Building resilience from the ground up
THE KONSCIO FARMING PROJECTOn a plot of land in Grimbergen, the KONSCIO Farming Project restores soil, plants hedges, fruit rows and an orchard, and develops climate-resilient farming methods. It is a living example of how biodiversity and healthy food production can reinforce each other step by step.
Since 2021 the project has steadily evolved, step by step. These are some of the highlights:
2021 – Start with first soil restoration.
2023 – Sowing of permanent ground cover and the planting of hedges.
2025 – Fruit row and orchard planting and developing water systems for climate resilience.
2026 and beyond – Expanding biodiversity with perennial crops and developing educational activities.
